The three Is

This is from my Swedish perspective, but I guess it might be valid for many European countries. Less so in U.S.?

Most politicians today seem to be pros. They had little normal work experience. They probably have a B.A in something, but not much of an academic career either. The ones that do have competence and experience outside before entering politics usually ends up marginalised by their own party, because they say what they think, and try to be concrete. The pros have no career outside, so they follow the party line. In hope of when they been in the system long enough, they can get some nice bureaucratic job. Nationally or internationally.

To sum up, to me most of them seem to be either idiotic, incompetent or indolent. Or both.

That's my three cents.
