Some time ago I heard/read (forgot where) that "consumption" can mean eating together and "presumption" implies eating too soon. That was both a bit funny and thought poking.
Consume - together (par)take.
Presume - before (par)take.
Assume - eating in Asgard? Maybe, the Norse probably had no concept of intentional fasting. They were rather hungry.
"Fast asleep" - that is an odd English expression.
"Hungry?! Cup Noodle!" - a funny series of animated ads from the 90s. Can be found on the interwebs.
